First Music Night of 2007

Mali and Greece, what a treat!

So much fun, thank you Paul for never giving up, even when I was becoming really, really annoying... These are some highlights of what we listened to, in no particular order...

Toumani Diabaté and the late Ali Farka Touré

Salif Keita

and lots of Greek music of which I only remember Stelios Kazantzidis

Now I am bracing for throat-singing night...

Next one will definitely have to be Mongolian throat singing. Unless Paul will surprise us with a Kazakh collection which he will acquire during his upcoming visit...

Throat singing is on the agenda, but I would like to take a break. I want to be entertained from now on.
