Once Zhuang Zhou dreamed he was a butterfly. As a butterfly he was carefree, happily doing as he pleased. He did not know he was Zhou. Suddenly he was awake and then Zhou was in his solid form; he did not know if he was Zhou dreaming he was a butterfly, or a butterfly dreaming he was Zhou. However, Zhou and the butterfly surely have a distinction. This is called the transformation of things.
