If I were to write something about Italy today, I would write this article. Absolutely spot on. And - most importantly - containing the word I have now started using on a daily basis every time I slam my face into the reality of this topsy-turvy nation: Byzantine.
Indeed. Italy has now officially become the New Byzantium.
